This pavilion house sits on a family compound in Kemang area, where open greeneries area are predominant compared to the footprint of houses. Architect and client collaborate to keep the space requirement as low as possible, and using the same materials i.e. red clay roof tile, wooden frame & roof-structure, and white-painted brick wall to keep its harmony with surrounding houses. Big openings and shaded terraces are applied all over its slender L-shape building, and ceilings are raised until below the roof to capture abundant natural airflow & sunlight into this tropical house.
